Job Summary
Location: Mumbai
Function: Network Planning (OSP GIS)
Role Type: Governance / Design Authority
- Define and govern OSP network design contours and GL standards across circles.
- Drive GIS-based planning frameworks for fiber route design and network expansion.
- Lead Unified GIS / SmartWorld platform governance.
- Enable map-based feasibility analysis using land base and infrastructure overlays.
- Establish Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for network and geospatial data.
- Ensure circle-level compliance through audits and reviews.
- Collaborate with IT/vendors for GIS platform upkeep and integration.
- Drive optimization for cost deployment time and network resilience.
Core Skills Required- OSP Planning & Network Design (fiber ducts topology)
- GIS Platforms (ArcGIS QGIS Smallworld)
- Spatial Data Modeling & Geo-analytics
- Unified GIS / Digital Twin environments
- Feasibility analysis using GIS inputs
- Governance & standardization frameworks
- Stakeholder management across circles and HQ
- Basic understanding of GIS application lifecycle
Preferred Candidate Profile1015 years in Telecom Network Planning / OSP / GIS domains.
Experience in HQ or central planning roles.
Strong exposure to GIS platforms.
Understanding of fiber rollout lifecycle.
Exposure to digital transformation initiatives preferred.
