Job Summary

As a Customer Specialist for Action Industries you will perform a broad spectrum of customer service functions to fulfill customer needs and assure customer satisfaction.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assure the accurate and timely processing of customer transactions (orders RMAs quotes catalogues/sample requests and returns) to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Gather customer information and identify products that meet customer needs; recommend potential products or services to management; generate sales leads.
  • Provide technical customer service; educate customers on product features and benefits.
  • Set-up and maintain customer files; maintain records of all sales activities.
  • Resolve product or service problems; clarify complaints determine cause and identify solution expedite correction and follow-up to assure resolution.
  • Process product recalls
  • Sell products and services. Maximize promotions.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relations.
  • Provide support to outside sales representatives.
  • Serve as a member of the Customer Service team providing assistance and support as required
Requirements

Qualifications:

To perform this position successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and abilities required.


High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.

5 years of experience in a customer service customer focused role required

Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products Customer Master software

Experience with an Full scale ERP system (SAP preferred)

Ability to prioritize and multitask

Proactive attitude towards work teamwork and cooperation
