Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation:

  • $1600 for the full assignment

Additional Benefits:

  • Room and board will provided for the duration of the assignment.
  • Accommodations: Shared dormitory housing (single or double occupancy)
  • Meals: A meal plan 19-meals per week valued at $960 will be provided for the duration of the assignment.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.

Role Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with other HRLMs coordinate all residence life programming.
  • Serve as a central point of contact among students faculty and staff to ensure effective communication of schedules expectations and updates.
  • Supervise an assigned group of Juilliard Summer Student Mentors and residential participants (ages 1419) fostering a safe inclusive and supportive community.
  • Enforce campus and residence hall policies including the Summer Participant Code of Conduct curfews and health and safety protocols..
  • Respond to participant concerns conflicts and emergencies document and report incidents to program leadership.
  • Participate in residence hall evening duties including nightly duty shifts bed checks and emergency response procedures.
  • Assist in planning and implementing weekend and evening activities that promote engagement wellbeing and positive peer interaction.
  • Accompany and supervise participants on off-campus excursions and events as assigned.
  • Assist with residence hall move-in and move-out.
  • Assist with additional on-site administrative and operational needs as assigned.
  • Attend and actively participate in all required staff meetings trainings and orientation sessions.
  • Ensure assigned residential and community spaces are welcoming and well-maintained including managing bulletin boards and sharing relevant community announcements as needed.
  • Assist in fire drills and communicate important fire safety information.
  • Enforce policies and document incidents no later than 9:00 AM the following day.
  • Participate in and complete First Aid and CPR training from a training program acceptable by the NYC Department of Health for safety supervision of summer participants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student in music dance or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal organizational and leadership skills
  • Maturity reliability and the ability to supervise high school students in a residential environment
  • Willingness to work long hours in a fast-paced team-oriented setting
  • Must live in assigned housing accommodations for the full duration of the assignment
  • Must be available to work for the entire duration of the assignment
  • Must be in good academic and conduct standing

Preferred Background:

  • Demonstrated experience in summer music or dance festivals camps intensives or comparable pre-professional arts programs
  • Experience working with high schoolaged students in educational artistic or residential settings

Conditions of Employment:

  • Successful completion of a background check and child-safety training
  • Must reside on campus for the full program period
  • Must attend all required training and orientation sessions
  • Must comply with all institutional policies including health conduct and safety protocols
