Responsible for engineering and project management of Thickener Drives Lifts Flotation spare parts and related lubrication units across both Spare Parts and Modernization projects. This role ensures all deliverables meet scope schedule and engineering budget requirements while effectively coordinating design and drafting resources locally and through Global Business Centers. Works closely with Service Business Product Specialists and Procurement to optimize design fabrication and procurement costs for lifts drives and flotation components.
Key Accountabilities
- May work on Modernization Proposals & Projects Complex Engineered parts or spare parts standardization.
- Prepare Fabrication and Assembly drawings using AutoCAD and 3D models in SolidWorks.
- Developing RSPL (Recommended Spare Part list) FTS (First Time Spare List) and Spare Parts Kits for new projects and existing installed base.
- Reviewing NCRs and taking ownership of leading all NCRs related to equipment/parts performance from receipt until closure.
- Identify and recommend correct or alternate part numbers for repairs/replacements.
- Responsible to deliver proposal inputs and project according to scope schedule and budget.
- Reviews and approves design drawings.
- Works with global resources to complete deliverables.
- Travels to job sites and regional offices as required in support of equipment problems fabrication and manufacturing support installation support and sales efforts.
- Collaborate with PBL product engineers to deliver optimal solutions and proactively identify opportunities for product development and improvement.
- Participates actively with other experienced team members and contributes to successful completion of team goals.
- The position is expected to work on a few (up to 3 - 4) projects in parallel depending on the status of the projects.
- Works with minimal to no supervision.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of Mechanical engineering design experience preferably in Mining Industry.
- Strong product knowledge on Separations Products with expertise on Thickeners and Drives (EIMCO & DORR). Knowledge on Communition products is added advantage.
- Proficient in engineering design fundamentals.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding machinery fabrication of industrial parts tolerances) materials and global quality standards..
- Must be proficient with engineering design tools and PLM (AutoCAD Solidworks Enovia.)
- Basic understanding of design requirements of other engineering disciplines: electrical process etc.
- Proficient in change management and conflict resolution.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have valid work authorization to work in the U.S. No relocation assistance is available for this position
