Requisition Summary
The Truck Systems & Software Liaison team is part of the Resident Engineering department and is responsible for coordinating escalating and resolving vehicle software defects across all production operations. The position will focus specifically on software issues affecting all pilot (pre-implementation and validation) builds that run through the Denton plant. This role requires direct hands-on engagement with vehicles on the plant floor and facility lot to validate issues support trouble shooting and ensure accurate documentation. The Liaison will work with Engineering/Software teams Manufacturing and Operations to drive containment and timely resolution of issues enabling successful pilot build execution. This role also provides clear consistent communication of build status and defect status to stakeholders at various levels within the PACCAR organization. This role plays a critical role in maintaining build quality supporting production readiness and ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams.
The hiring level of this person will be dependent upon related experience skills knowledge and education. This position will require a self-motivated person who can operate with minimal supervision has a strong technical background can work across multiple engineering departments and can drive results from all stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Support pilot build execution by identifying documenting and coordinating the resolution of vehicle software defects encountered on the plant floor and offline lots.
- Remain familiar with all truck software deployed in production (DAVIE VEPS Supplier Diagnostic Tools FODF CALID/CVN ELF GHG EASOP)
- Perform hands-on validation of software-related issues on trucks including physical inspection basic diagnostics and verification of fixes.
- Document issues in PACCAR tracking systems ensuring accuracy completeness and clarity for downstream engineering teams.
- Communicate pilot build status defect summaries and emerging risks to stakeholders at various levels across the organization.
- Participate in build events reviews and cross-functional meetings providing updates and contributing insights related to software-related production issues.
- Up to 25% travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
- 7 years engineering experience
- 1-3 years experience in the manufacturing industrial engineering electrical engineering field or software/electrical trouble shooting

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in product change systems issue tracking and Bills of Material
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work in teams and in a fast-paced environment.
- Having a background with the following systems/software is preferred:
- Production Programming & Diagnostics (DAVIE VEPS FODF Supplier Diagnostic Tools)
- Engineering Tools (Vector CANalyzer ATI Vision Kvaser)
- Production & Order Processing Systems (OPS COPICS EWI ELF EASOP)
