We are seeking an experienced AutoSys Platform Migration Technical Leadto lead the end-to-end migration of the AutoSys Workload Automation platform from on-premises infrastructure to an AWS cloud environment.
This role will be responsible for defining the migration strategy designing the target architecture executing the migration plan and ensuring a seamless production cutover with minimal downtime and operational risk.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with application teams cloud engineering infrastructure and security teams to deliver a stable scalable and production-ready scheduling platform on AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of AutoSys from on-premises to AWS ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
- Develop and execute a phased migration strategy including dependency mapping and workflow analysis
- Design and implement a scalable high-availability AutoSys architecture on AWS
- Migrate job schedules inventories variables and calendars while ensuring data and schedule integrity
- Configure and manage AutoSys components in AWS environments
- Define and implement cloud agent strategy including containerization and Kubernetes (EKS) usage
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines for deployment and operational efficiency
- Develop and execute cutover and rollback strategies with detailed runbooks
- Lead functional performance resilience and disaster recovery (DR) testing
- Ensure post-migration stabilization and ongoing platform optimization
- Implement monitoring alerting and incident management aligned with AWS best practices
- Prepare comprehensive documentation and enable knowledge transfer to operations teams
- Provide regular status updates manage risks and coordinate with stakeholders
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5 years of experience in workload automation and batch scheduling with strong expertise in AutoSys
- Proven experience in AutoSys administration job migration troubleshooting and scheduling design
- Strong Linux (on-prem) expertise with advanced scripting skills (Shell/Python)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on AWS experience (VPC IAM EC2 S3 RDS/Aurora)
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale migration programs (planning execution validation rollback stabilization)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (EKS) for workload execution
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns between AutoSys and AWS services
- Strong understanding of AutoSys ecosystem components such as WCC and EEM
- Excellent problem-solving leadership and stakeholder communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of cloud security and governance models
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise scheduling environments
