US Heart and Vascular is seeking an experienced Dual Sonographer to join our team at Cardiology Specialist of Acadiana in Lafayette LA.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform Echo and Vascular ultrasound exams including carotids and venous reflux studies.
- Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have
- Follow safety procedures to protect the patients and themselves from unnecessary radiation exposure
- Maintain detailed procedure records and ensure accurate documentation in the PACS system
- Assist in maintaining a clean and professional clinical environment
- Perform any other services deemed reasonable by physician or supervisor.
Requirements Skills and Abilities
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
- Experience in Echo is required; vascular experience preferred (training available for vascular exams)
- Credentialed in Echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) and Vascular Technology (RVT or RVS)
- BLS/CPR certification
