Job Summary

  • Ensure accurate and complete accounting reporting and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are properly maintained.
  • Ensure that management systems are properly maintained at warehouses.
  • Assist in the training of colleagues in warehouse management best practices.
  • Assess the availability of space and prepare stacking/storage plans prior to the arrival of goods.
  • Supervise the receipt of all arriving consignments.
  • Monitor the quantity and quality of goods stored.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts reconciling them with the data storage system.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Prepare all procedures and necessary steps for commodity disposal.
  • Produce regular stocks reports and daily stocks positions.
  • Prepare loading plans and ensure that standard waybills are duly complete.
  • Arrange transportation for the delivery of orders to customers and regional warehouses.
  • Perform other related duties as required.


Requirements

Requirements

  • Degree or HND in Purchasing and Supply Supply Chain Management Accounting or other related fields
  • Must have excellent people management skills
  • Must have an analytical approach to work
  • Must have high numeracy and sound technical skills
  • Must have problem-solving skills and initiative
  • Must have strong attention to detail and an investigative nature
  • Must have good time management skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships
  • Must be willing to work in any of the regional capitals of the country


Key Competences

  • Must be computer literate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (word excel and PowerPoint)


Experience

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar.
  • Experience in the FMCG industry will be an advantage
