Job Summary
Position Description:
As an IT Infrastructure Architect (m/f/d) you design future-proof IT architectures for our clients and integrate complex system landscapes into high-performance end-to-end solutions. You combine technological expertise with strategic foresight developing sustainable scalable and cost-efficient architectures at the intersection of business requirements and technological possibilities.
You possess a broad cross-product understanding of IT and maintain a clear overview even in heterogeneous doing so you continuously monitor the IT market evaluate emerging technologies and vendor solutions and derive well-founded architectural decisions.
Working closely with business units development teams infrastructure stakeholders and external partners you take on a central role in the design alignment and implementation of complex IT initiatives.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Build the IT infrastructure that our clients need!
Design development and continuous evolution of holistic IT architectures (application data integration and infrastructure architectures)
Analysis of existing system landscapes and identification of optimization and integration potential
Selection evaluation and combination of suitable technologies platforms and multi-vendor products
Ensuring interoperability and integration of heterogeneous systems (on-premises cloud hybrid)
Creation of architectural concepts target architectures roadmaps and technical decision frameworks
Advising business units and project teams on technical matters
Consideration of security compliance performance and scalability requirements
Supporting tenders technology selection processes and proof-of-concept initiatives
Monitoring the market and evaluating technological trends to support the strategic evolution of the IT landscape
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
We value solid hands-on experience and technical excellence regardless of formal educational background
Several years of experience in the design implementation and integration of complex IT systems
Strong cross-product expertise across relevant IT domains (e.g. cloud technologies networking middleware databases security virtualization containerization DevOps)
Broad understanding of the IT market including common vendors platforms and solution approaches
Experience with architecture frameworks and modeling methodologies (e.g. TOGAF UML or similar) is an advantage
Strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with a structured way of working
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner
Team-oriented mindset consulting approach and confident presence when engaging with diverse stakeholders
Professional fluency in English as client communication is typically conducted in English
German language skills are desirable
