About the Team & Business Line: Fund Administration is Citcos core business and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the most respected industries. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver seamless client experience. As a core member of our SPV Accounting team within the CFS team in Amsterdam you will be working with some of the industrys most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon. Our clients invest in investment properties and portfolio companies.
Responsibilities
Your Role:
- Manage a team of accountants and be responsible for the development training and coaching of designated staff
- Responsible for all accounting matters for client companies such as review of the accounting done by junior accountants or Citcos Centres of Excellence locations
- Responsible for interim reporting (Q or M) and ensure timely delivery of corresponding reporting packs including depreciation/ amortization and interest calculation schedules/ distribution test
- Responsible for review of financial statements of Dutch SPVs prepared under the Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS including Dutch Chambers of Commerce and DNB filings
- Responsible for tax compliance work including review and timely filing of CIT VAT and WHT returns
- Responsible for communication with clients (tax) advisors lawyers notaries other professionals government institutions and other Citco offices worldwide and resolve queries or escalate where necessary Responsible for cash management and related activities of client entities
- Responsible for internal and external audit including assistance to audit deliverable for client entities
Qualifications
About You:
Technical skills:
- You have an accounting qualification and 6 years of experience in an accounting position and 2 years managing a team
- You have knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP
- You have knowledge of investment and real estate accounting and accounting systems (e.g. Yardi Investran (is a plus))
- You have experience in preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in a report generator system (Workiva) as well in Excel
- You are excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both verbal and written)
You are familiar with tax-efficient European structures and related investment vehicles and regulatory requirements (a plus)
Other skills:
- Display strong financial/accounting and analytical skills
- Commercial dynamic attitude and excellent communication skills
- Able to work successfully in a team as well as autonomously
Experience with acting as client director or proxyholder is a pre
