Job Summary
Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN)
Location: Ithaca NY 14850
Unit: Emergency Department
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Schedule:
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Compensation:
- Weekly Gross Pay: $2612
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in triage critical thinking and managing multiple patient conditions simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Perform triage assessment and treatment of patients with varying levels of acuity.
- Deliver emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies effectively.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge plans.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting required
Licensure:
- Active New York State RN License required
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) AHA required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
Additional Information:
- Candidates must be comfortable working night shifts in a high-acuity environment.
- Strong critical thinking multitasking and communication skills are essential.
