We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Facilities Asset Manager who thrives in complex environments and is ready to lead our maintenance operations. If youre a strategic thinker with a knack for building strong relationships and driving results this role is perfect for you!
The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a commitment to excellence.
Your Role as Facilities Asset Manager
o Plan and oversee the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance services in alignment with contractual obligations.
o Manage relationships with the primary facility maintenance provider Honeywell as well as local GEO maintenance teams and subcontractors.
o Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations while promoting a safe workplace.
o Lead and facilitate workgroups by establishing effective workplace relationships to achieve shared goals.
o Set work priorities delegate tasks and ensure timely execution of maintenance projects.
o Engage in budget setting and expenditure management to ensure financial accountability.
o Conduct thorough handovers of large infrastructure projects and oversee User Acceptance Testing procedures.
o Communicate effectively with senior representatives from GEO Corrections Victoria and various stakeholders to drive collaboration.
About You
o Relevant qualifications and extensive experience in Asset Maintenance/Management.
o Proven senior management experience within complex operational settings.
o Strong contractor management skills and the ability to adhere to schedules while achieving outcomes.
o Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on respectful and objective communication.
o Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively and make informed decisions.
o High level report writing skills with attention to detail.
o Understanding of risk management principles in a correctional context is desirable.
o A passion for leading teams and fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
