Job Summary
Position: Radiology Technologist
Location: North Bergen NJ 07047
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Schedule: Day Shift (5x8) 11:00 AM 7:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Compensation:
- Local Pay (within 50 miles): Up to $2200/week
- Travel Pay (outside 50 miles): Up to $2800/week
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will be experienced in radiographic techniques patient positioning and equipment operation in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations using appropriate positioning and technical factors.
- Operate radiologic equipment for various imaging procedures.
- Minimize patient exposure by properly using collimation and radiation safety techniques.
- Conduct portable X-ray exams in patient rooms operating rooms and emergency settings.
- Accurately identify and label imaging studies with patient information.
- Process and develop radiographic images using available systems.
- Assist physicians with contrast media preparation and administration.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete patient requisitions.
- Support administrative functions including scheduling record maintenance and patient coordination.
- Assist patients with mobility and positioning as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and equipment.
- Provide patient-centered care tailored to individual needs (age culture communication barriers etc.).
Required Qualifications:
Licensure & Certification:
- Active New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License required
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
Education:
- Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift at least 5 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 10 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods (minimum 6 hours per shift)
