Your future duties and responsibilities:

Position Description:

The Data Bricks Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining end-to-end ETL pipelines using Azure Databricks and PySpark. They will also be involved in ETL testing including Master Data Management (MDM) Data Completeness Data Cataloging Data Lineage and Data Quality validation across various source data feeds. The role requires advanced practical knowledge of PySpark Python and SQL for large-scale data transformation along with experience in CI/CD pipelines and version-controlled environments.

1. Azure Databricks Expertise Solid understanding of Databricks fundamentals including workspace management clusters and notebook-based development. Hands-on experience with Lakehouse architecture including Lakeview connect and Data Loader components.
2. Data Engineering & Processing Strong foundation in data ingestion frameworks and ETL/ELT processes. Advanced practical knowledge of PySpark Python and SQL for large-scale data transformation. Experience with Delta Live Tables (DLT) and automated data pipeline orchestration.
3. Data Modeling & Governance Understanding of data modeling principles star/snowflake schema and to some extent on banking-specific domain structures. Knowledge of Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) types and implementation patterns. Familiarity with Unity Catalog for data governance security and lineage.
4. Testing Monitoring & Quality Controls Competency in writing and executing automated test suites using PyTest. Exposure to Azure Lakehouse monitoring tools and proactive issue detection. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for production-grade environments.
5. Architecture & DevOps Practices Awareness of framework and architectural design concepts for scalable secure data solutions. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred) and version-controlled environments.
6. Troubleshooting techniques Candidate should be independent to solve the technical issues on their own without much dependency. Candidate should be well focused in optimizing and performance tuning the queries. Candidate should be well verse in coding standards code review checklist etc.
