About the role.

This is a 12-month fixed term on-site role based at our Ballarat Prepared Foods Plant. As Quality Supervisor you will oversee the day-to-day Food Safety and Quality operations ensuring products meet McCains standards and regulatory requirements. Youll manage compliance release and hold processes for raw materials and drive continuous improvement within the plant. The role is vital in safeguarding product integrity and supporting McCains vision through proactive leadership in quality and food safety operations.

What youll be doing.

• Oversee release and hold processes for raw materials.
• Ensure compliance against specifications and supplier COAs.
• Raise non-conformance/reject reports as needed.
• Maintain and update procedures work instructions forms and SOPs.
• Ensure raw material sampling plans and QC checklists/files are current.
• Participate in internal and external audits including follow-ups.
• Ensure finished product traceability within and post-manufacturing.
• Provide quality support to manufacturing and participate in HACCP team.
• Identify and execute improvement opportunities in quality and food safety.
• Attend production OHS shift change and QC meetings as quality representative.
• Serve as Infinity & SAP Quality super user.
• Other duties as required.

What youll need to be successful.

• Experience building positive working relationships and contributing to a team.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently when needed.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• An understanding of workplace safety standards.
• Confidence in analysing information and preparing reports.
• Experience in food manufacturing food safety or quality assurance would be an advantage.
• Supervisory experience and/or training background while not essential will be viewed favourably.
• Qualifications in Food Science or a related field are preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills will be helpful.

About the team.

Youll join the Quality department at Ballarat Prepared Foods Plant reporting to the Quality Control Manager. The team drives quality and food safety collaborating closely with manufacturing and other business units to uphold McCains standards and continuous improvement culture.
