As an on-site AMERICAN SYSTEMSLead Network Engineer youll take a hands-on leadership role ensuring secure reliable network operations supporting U.S. Government customers. Youll serve as a technical authority guiding network design troubleshooting complex issues and maintaining mission-critical connectivity in classified environments.
Responsibilities
As a Lead Network Engineer you will:
- Configure and troubleshootCisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)to protect data and control access to classified networks.
- Install configure and maintainCisco routers switches and firewalls.
- Diagnose and resolveLayer 2/Layer 3VPN andVMwarenetwork issues.
- Coordinate on-site and remotely with users to configure equipment and troubleshoot connectivity.
- Recommend performance and security enhancements that improve reliability and reduce costs.
- Interface with senior management and vendor technical teams on network solutions.
- Work independently or lead small technical efforts with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
What You Bring:
- U.S. Citizenship(required)
- Active TOP SECRET clearancewithSCI eligibility
- Bachelors degree(or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- 810 yearsof professional networking experience
- Expertise inCisco ISE configuration and troubleshootingrouting/switching andfirewall administration
- Strong understanding ofLayer 2/3 protocolsand network design principles
- Certifications such asCCNPorCCIEare highly preferred

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $108100.00/Yr. - USD $180600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
