Job Description:
The Student Involvement Specialist (SIS)isresponsible for providing guidance to students in areas of on-campusinvolvement. The SIS will serve as acontact fornew and existing student organizations and as a Connectconsultant forthe Baylor community. The SIS will also perform other duties as assigned.
Job Functions
Conductone-on-one meetings with studentsregarding involvement experiences and interests.
Utilize the Connect system to guide students to involvement opportunities.
Act as a liaison between students andcorresponding involvement areas on campus in which the
studentsdemonstrate interest.
Follow up with students through the semester to learn of students progress and to provide
support as needed.
Serve asaprimary resource to organizationsassisting with aspects of Connect constitution
review and organizational policy.
Assist workshops hosted by Student Activities in areas of recruitment and retention risk
management and event planning.
Responsible foroffice hours in the Student Involvement Center (located on the first floor of the Bill Daniel Student Center) andthe Centers essential functions (equipment rentals print publicity etc.)
Complete other duties as assigned by the Department of Student Activities:
- Perform business operations duties for assigned area of responsibility
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
- Ability to prioritize and take initiative
- Assist with various projects activities and tasks related toStudent Activities operations
- Ability tocomply withUniversity policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
