With a strong presence in Africa we are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Cape Town South Africa. Job Summary: As a Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation and distribution of goods for our clients. You will work closely with our team of logistics professionals to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of products to their intended destinations. This is a full-time permanent position based in our Cape Town office. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate the transportation of goods from suppliers to clients ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all regulations and requirements - Communicate with clients suppliers and internal teams to ensure all parties are informed of shipment status and any potential delays or issues - Manage the logistics process from start to finish including tracking shipments arranging transportation and handling any customs or documentation requirements - Monitor inventory levels and work with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of stock - Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers carriers and other partners to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation services - Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs - Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of all logistics activities - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements - Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in logistics supply chain management or a related field - Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics coordination or a similar role - Strong knowledge of transportation and supply chain processes and regulations - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Highly organized with strong attention to detail - Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software - Knowledge of African logistics market is a plus - Fluency in English both written and verbal We offer a competitive salary and benefits package as well as opportunities for growth and development within our global organization.
