Job Summary
Permanent Position: Logistics Coordinator Company Overview: Msuez Uk is a global logistics company that specializes in providing comprehensive supply chain solutions to businesses around the world. With a strong presence in Africa we are now expanding our operations to Durban South Africa. Job Overview: As a Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the movement of goods and materials for our clients. You will work closely with our team of logistics professionals to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products while also maintaining strong relationships with our clients. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods and materials for our clients - Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery - Communicate with clients to provide updates on shipment status and address any issues or concerns - Work with customs officials and other government agencies to ensure compliance with regulations - Manage and maintain accurate records of shipments including invoices and shipping documents - Collaborate with the procurement team to source and negotiate transportation rates with carriers - Identify and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize logistics processes - Train and supervise junior logistics staff as needed - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients carriers and other stakeholders - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to continuously improve logistics operations Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field - Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination or a similar role - Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes and regulations - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Excellent organizational and time-management abilities - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software - Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Knowledge of the Durban port and local transportation networks is preferred We Offer: - Competitive salary and benefits package - Opportunities for career growth and development - A dynamic and inclusive work environment - Exposure to global logistics operations and clients - Training and support from experienced professionals If you are a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for logistics we want to hear from you!
