Position: Bilingual Portuguese STEM Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $18$42/hour
Duration: 36 months
Commitment: 20 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design and optimize STEM-based prompts in Portuguese and English with scientifically accurate instructions.
- Define and document evaluation standards developing rubrics for scientific rigor and linguistic clarity.
- Conduct model testing and grading assessing outputs for accuracy and clarity in both languages.
- Support benchmarking and quality assurance to ensure scientific standards in Portuguese-language benchmarks.
- Collaborate in QA review processes to maintain consistency and reliability across evaluation sets.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while ensuring scientific precision.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Native-level fluency in Portuguese (written) specifically native to Brazil or Portugal.
- Strong reading and writing proficiency in English.
- BS or BA in Biology Physics or Chemistry.
- Familiarity with undergraduate-level biology physics or chemistry topics.
- Strong writing and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred
- 2 years of experience in teaching research or an applied STEM discipline.
- Experience with academic terminology and STEM educational standards specific to Brazil or Portugal.
