The Business Development Precious Metals will lead the strategic growth of gold and silver derivatives trading on the exchange with a primary focus on Asia. This role is responsible for driving market adoption developing liquidity and transitioning precious metals trading activity from OTC markets to interact with exchange-traded derivatives.
The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise across the full precious metals trade lifecycle -from futures execution and clearing through physical delivery vaulting and bullion logistics - and will act as a key interface between market participants infrastructure providers and internal exchange stakeholders.

- DefineandexecutetheexchangespreciousmetalsgrowthstrategyforgoldandsilverderivativeswithafocusonAsia-Pacificmarkets.
- IdentifystructuralinefficienciesinexistingOTCpreciousmetalsmarketsanddesignexchange-basedsolutionstoimprovetransparencycapitalefficiencyandriskmanagement.
- LeadinitiativestomigratetradingflowsfromOTCspotandforwardsintostandardizedclearedderivativesproducts.
- Assessregionalregulatorytaxandmarketstructureconsiderationsimpactingbulliontradingandderivativesadoption.
- Developandmanagesenior-levelrelationshipswithbullionbanksproducersrefinerstradersvaultoperatorslogisticsprovidersandinstitutionalinvestors.
- Drivesalesonboardingandactivationofnewparticipantsacrossfuturesoptionsandphysicallydeliverablecontracts.
- Workcloselywithliquidityprovidersandmarketmakerstosupportsustainableorderbookdepthandtightspreads.
- Act as a subject-matter expert for clients on product design contract specifications delivery mechanisms and margining.
- Maintain expert-level understanding of the full precious metals trade lifecycle including: Futures and options execution; Clearing margining and settlement; Physical delivery processes; Vaulting custody and inventory management; Bullion quality standards bar lists and assay processes
- Providecommercialandtechnicalinputintonewproductlaunchescontractenhancementsanddeliveryinfrastructure.
- Collaboratewithclearingoperationsandtechnologyteamstoensurerobustandscalablepost-tradeprocesses.
- Representtheexchangeexternallyatindustryconferencesregulatorydiscussionsandclientforums.
- Providemarketintelligenceandfeedbacktoseniormanagementoncompetitivedynamicsclientdemandandregionaltrends.
- Partnerwithlegalcomplianceandregulatoryteamstosupportapprovalsandmarketaccessinitiatives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the regional sales and BD team as the business grows.
RequiredQualifications&Experience
- Extensiveexperience(typically10years)inpreciousmetalsmarketsderivativestradingorbullionbanking.
- Deeptechnicalknowledgeofpreciousmetalsmarketsacrossderivativesandphysicallymarkets.
- Provenunderstandingofphysicalbullionmarketsincludingvaultinglogisticsandsettlementworkflows.
- StrongbackgroundinOTCpreciousmetalstradinganddemonstratedexperiencedrivingorsupportingthetransitiontoexchange-tradedderivatives.
- EstablishednetworkacrossthepreciousmetalsecosysteminAsiaincludingbankstradersrefinersandinfrastructureproviders.
- Strongcommercialacumenwithatrackrecordofrevenuegrowthclientacquisitionandliquiditydevelopment.
- Abilitytoengagecrediblywithbothtradingdesksandoperationsteamsoncomplexlifecycleandinfrastructuretopics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cultures and jurisdictions.
