Make a difference as Senior Transportation Specialist

As a Senior Transportation Specialist you manage the planning and execution of all transportation activities across multiple international this senior operational role you combine subject matter expertise ownership and strong problem solving skills.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate commercial and non-commercial shipments via air sea road and courier;
• Monitor analyze and report on logistics KPIs costs and carrier performance;
• Act as the main point of contact for operational transport issues and first line escalations;
• Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives in transportation and supply chain processes;
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in ERP systems;
• Balance logistics costs and service levels in line with business targets;
• Ensure compliant customs processes including Incoterms and export documentation.

You will report to the Manager Transportation & Customs and collaborate closely with teams across Customer Service Processing and Distribution.

What you bring as a future colleague

• A completed higher professional education (HBO / Bachelor) in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Transportation Management or similar;

• 35 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain or a Transport related position ideally within FMCG pharmaceuticals or the seed industry;

• Strong understanding of transportation shipping export export documentation customs clearance and phytosanitary requirements;

• Experience working with ERP systems and automated tools;

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across teams and with external partners;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

• Proficiency in English and the local language spoken and written.

You are proactive accurate and comfortable working in a dynamic global environment. You enjoy taking ownership solving issues quickly and collaborating with many stakeholders.
