Social Studies Grades K-2 Slides & Resource Creator

DESE has provided resource recommendations in their K-12 History/Social Science Curricular Materials Guide which have been organized into a district scope & sequence. These resources are ready to be developed further by our district.

The purpose of this application is to recruit a teacher in the K-2 grade span to develop district slides and resources for social studies lessons as outlined in the district scope & sequence.

Starts Spring 2026

The district is seeking a Social Studies Grades K-2 Slides & Resource Creator to develop district slides and resources aligned to the district scope & sequence starting in Spring of 2026. The teacher who applies interviews and gets accepted for this experience will receive $40/hr with a maximum of 250 hours.

The job responsibilities are as follows:

Be reflective and open-minded about Social Studies instruction as a collaborative problem solver.
Create coherent cohesive social studies slides and resources for 3 grade levels.
Align slides and resources with familiar structures to previously adopted HQIM.
Meet as needed but at least once per month with the curriculum director.
Upload the developed slides and resources to the district curriculum resource documents.
