| 2.1. | Track all cost changes and initiate/participate in reduction activities to stay below price target. Take leadership for all supply base activities for the project and ensure actions from support functions are completed on time. | |||||||||||||
| 2.2. | Support the development and implementation of processes to enhance the overall efficiency of New Product Introductions. Organize and Lead Sourcing Committee activity. Achievement of Cost PPAP Approval and SOP targets. | |||||||||||||
| 2.3. | Ensuring early production suppliers nomination and Concurrent Engineering deployment. Ensure APQP Process is deployed all along development. Maintaining performance metrics and tracking sheets for NPI activities. Lead annual supplier tooling verification: collect supplier-completed and stamped tooling location forms for all parts in scope and report to Finance (SHA/KOD). Act as the visit focal point for the Kodama plant including suppliers outside own scope. Support other projects impacted by Japan suppliers by facilitating communication between China/Europe/North America and suppliers. | |||||||||||||
| 3. Education / Qualifications Minimum requirements required for employee to do the job | Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree Fluent in Japanese & English. C.P.M.(Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPSM preferred | |||||||||||||

Key Skills and Knowledge Minimum requirements required for employee to do the job | Additional Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business. - Ability to read blueprints interpret drawing and specification requirements - Demonstrated manufacturing and/or engineering background. - Successful track record of effective communications within and across internal functional groups various management levels and suppliers in an international environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Demonstrated negotiation skills. - Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills. - Experienced in matrix organization. - Demonstrated commitment to the requirements of the position. - Direct hands-on experience with SAP. | |||||||||||||
