SUPERVISORY DUTIES: None
SUMMARY:
This is a professional level staff position accountable for reviewing financial and business data. The analyst will use professional judgment to run analyses and create reports that will be presented to executive and/or department manager level personnel and used to influence the banks strategic decision-making process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assist with operational tasks of the team as well as reporting for senior leaders of the bank.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the banks Asset / Liability Management model as it pertains to both pricing and risk management.
- Assist with the pre- and post-purchase review of securities and derivatives.
- Provide research to support the long-term strategic planning process of the bank.
- Prepare and deliver timely accurate and relevant management information and analysis supporting the financial results and critical business initiatives of the bank.
- Research industry and bank trends to help ascertain if current strategies are effective.
- Quickly reply to fire-drills and other ad-hoc examinations requested by management.
- Assumes additional duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills with specific expertise in management reporting and executive writing skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple and complex projects with limited oversight.
- Ability to develop strong positive relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Advanced experience with MS Office (Access Excel PowerPoint and Word).
- Experience with common Excel add-ins and formulas.
- Limited travel may be required.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration
- 0 2 years experience in the Financial Services industry required.
