Shipping and Receiving Operator (12-Hour Day Shift)
Location: Salem NJ (On-site)
Pay:$21.50 per hour
Job Type: Full-time Temporary-to-Hire
Schedule: SundayTuesday and every other Wednesday 9:00 AM 9:15 PM
Our Client in Salem NJ is seeking a Shipping and ReceivingOperator for their team. This is an on-site role SundayTuesday and every other Wednesday 9:00 AM9:15 PM (12-hour shifts) with occasional overtime. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming full time and they are offering $21.50/hour.
Key Responsibilities
As a Shipping and Receiving Operator you will support the Shift Supervisor in managing product flow and ensuring accelerator performance meets strict specifications. Your duties will include:
System Monitoring: Log readings at the control console to ensure equipment performance meets customer specifications.
Documentation: Reconcile work orders record equipment settings and maintain high-integrity processing logs.
Quality Control: Follow FDA Quality System Regulations and ISO standards to ensure compliance and safety.
Maintenance & Testing: Perform minor equipment repairs adjustments and qualification tests.
Logistics Support: Assist Shipping & Receiving with product preparation documentation and forklift operation.
Leadership Support: Oversee process/material handlers and assist in training trainees.
Requirements
Experience: 6 months to 1 year in a sterilization or industrial processing environment preferred.
Skills: Forklift experience is required.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle repetitive bending/lifting throughout a 12-hour shift.
Technical: Basic computer skills and proficiency in basic math (fractions decimals whole numbers).
Communication: Fluent in English (reading writing and speaking) with a professional demeanor for customer interactions.
Work Schedule Details
Shift: 12.25 hours (9:00 AM 9:15 PM)
Rotation: Sunday Monday Tuesday and every other Wednesday.
Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required based on production needs.
