Job Summary

This is a hybrid role in the Detroit area.
As a Project Manager in our Project Management Office you will lead and manage complex initiatives involving the design implementation and maintenance of electrical systems and solutions. This role spans a diverse portfolio of utility-focused work including Substations Conversions Sub-Transmission & Distribution Programs and Customer Connections & Relocations. Your success will rely on strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles paired with effective project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and to the satisfaction of our clients.
Youll be at the center of our operations ensuring each project runs smoothly from kickoff through closeout. Your day will involve developing comprehensive project plans that define scope objectives deliverables milestones and timelines across a variety of project types. Youll coordinate and allocate resourcesincluding engineers technicians equipment and materialsto keep each initiative on track.
Youll provide technical guidance and expertise to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle ensuring high-quality outcomes across substation upgrades distribution improvements customer connection work and more. Building strong communication channels with clients will be essential as you gather requirements provide updates and address concerns. Youll also monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure financial targets are met.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
Previous experience in electrical engineering project management or a related role
Experience with utilities and electrical system design installation and maintenance projectsespecially in areas such as substations distribution or customer connections
10 years of experience or 5 years plus a PMP
