RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuringthat Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and acting in a safe mannerat all times;
- Performsnon-routine analysis of samples following prescribed procedures with theability to solve minor problems;
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work over Forty (40) hours.
- Calibratesand utilizes basic instrumentation with the understanding of theunderlying theories;
- Performingmaintenance of equipment and suggests solutions to problems;
- Completesall paperwork associated with the analyses in a neat and timely fashion (ex. calibration logs run logs etc.);
- Ensuresthat all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines;
- Propermanagement of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures;
- Maintaininga safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHAregulations as well as all applicable company Health and Safety andCompliance protocols;
- Worksunder the general direction of more senior members of the laboratory;
- Performstraining and other aspects of Chemical Hygiene Plan as directed by Supervisor;
- Reviewsall applicable laboratory SOPs annually and scores a satisfactory scoreon SOP quizzes;
- Adhere to all applicable CHES policies and CHES SOPs;
- Performsjob functions in compliance with the company standard: CleanCompliance;
- Responsiblefor supply management in their area of responsibility including properhousekeeping and best management practices;
- Performsanalysis of samples following prescribed procedures;
QUALIFICATIONS
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors
- 3years experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
- ScienceDegree preferred but not required.
- Knowledge in local state or federal laboratory testing credentials considered anasset.
- Abilityand willingness to work early morning or afternoon schedule.
- Understanding of math chemistry and chemical testing is preferred.
- We are willing to provide training to ambitious candidates with some of the knowledge above.
