Our team inLos Angeles CAis looking to add seasonedLab Chemist Ito their team! The Lab Tech is responsible for the routine and non-routine analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties.

This position is based in aLaboratory within a Terminalsetting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuringthat Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and acting in a safe mannerat all times;
• Performsnon-routine analysis of samples following prescribed procedures with theability to solve minor problems;
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work over Forty (40) hours.
• Calibratesand utilizes basic instrumentation with the understanding of theunderlying theories;
• Performingmaintenance of equipment and suggests solutions to problems;
• Completesall paperwork associated with the analyses in a neat and timely fashion (ex. calibration logs run logs etc.);
• Ensuresthat all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines;
• Propermanagement of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures;
• Maintaininga safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHAregulations as well as all applicable company Health and Safety andCompliance protocols;
• Worksunder the general direction of more senior members of the laboratory;
• Performstraining and other aspects of Chemical Hygiene Plan as directed by Supervisor;
• Reviewsall applicable laboratory SOPs annually and scores a satisfactory scoreon SOP quizzes;
• Adhere to all applicable CHES policies and CHES SOPs;
• Performsjob functions in compliance with the company standard: CleanCompliance;
• Responsiblefor supply management in their area of responsibility including properhousekeeping and best management practices;
• Performsanalysis of samples following prescribed procedures;

QUALIFICATIONS

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors

• 3years experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
• ScienceDegree preferred but not required.
• Knowledge in local state or federal laboratory testing credentials considered anasset.
• Abilityand willingness to work early morning or afternoon schedule.
• Understanding of math chemistry and chemical testing is preferred.
• We are willing to provide training to ambitious candidates with some of the knowledge above.
