Job Summary
The Food Runner plays a key role inmaintainingthe flow of service between the kitchen and the front-of-house team ensuring all food is delivered accurately efficiently and at the proper temperature. This position requiresstrong communication attention to detail and extensive menu knowledge to confidently describe each dish including modifications upon delivery. Food Runners contributeto smooth service flowby supportingtimelyservicemaintainingpresentation standards andassistingwith table maintenance throughout the dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to guests accuratelyidentifyingeach dish and verifying order details and modifications
Maintain clear and consistent communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to support smooth service flow
Ensure all food is served at theappropriate temperatureandin accordance withpresentation standards
Support table maintenance byassistingwith clearing and resetting dishes and utensils as needed
Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations
Proactivelyanticipatethe needs ofServers kitchen staff and guests during service
Qualifications
Previousexperience in a fine-dining or full-service restaurant environment preferred
Strong communicationskills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to follow verbal instructions provided in English andassistwith guest needs or concerns
Availability to work nights weekends and holidays
Ability to stand for the duration of assigned shifts and lift push or pull up to 35 pounds
