The Developmental Disabilities Services Division (DDSD) is seeking an energetic and mission-driven Quality Management Reviewer to help shape and strengthen the future of developmental disability services statewide.

What Youll Be Doing
This is not your typical desk this role youll engage with individuals families providers community organizations and state agencies to ensure developmental disability services are responsive effective and person-centered.


You will:

  • Lead quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives that drive meaningful change
  • Monitor developmental disability services for children and adults across Vermont
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to community providers and partner organizations
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems strengthen accountability and enhance service delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support innovative high-quality services
  • Analyze findings prepare reports and recommend solutions that improve outcomes statewide
  • Help ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while promoting best practices

Environmental Factors

Work is performed both in a standard office setting and in the field for which private means of transportation should be available. Incumbents are subject to a variety of stressful situations while evaluating and improving support services for people with disabilities. Some work outside of normal office hours may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree in the broad field of human services or public administration AND BOTH two (2) years or more of experience at a professional level in a human services program INCLUDING the administration of services to people with disabilities or older adults AND two (2) years or more of experience with Medicaid programs administration.

OR

Bachelors degree in the broad field of human services or public administration AND BOTH four (4) years or more of experience at a professional level in a human services program INCLUDING two (2) years or more in the administration of services to people with disabilities or older adults AND two (2) years or more of experience with Medicaid programs administration.

OR

Eight (8) years or more at a professional level in a human services program INCLUDING two (2) years or more in the administration of services to people with disabilities or older adults AND two (2) years or more of experience with Medicaid programs administration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Services Public Administration or a related field
  • Two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in an administrative or supervisory role
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and their families

Special Requirements

Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the accordance with AHS Policy 4.02 Hiring Standards Vermont and/or national criminal record checks as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks as appropriate to the position under recruitment will be conducted on candidates with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
