Test Planning: Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand application requirements and design comprehensive test plans. Bug Identification: Identify document and track software defects and issues and work closely with the development team to resolve them. Engage in Code Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews and walkthroughs to ensure code quality and to align with industry standards. Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing to ensure application functionality performance and security. Test Reporting: Generate and review test reports and provide insights and recommendations for improvements based on test results. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of test processes and methodologies and stay up to date with the latest testing tools and techniques. Education: Junior Senior or Grad student pursuing a degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field. Required: Technical Skills: Familiarity with Cypress/Playwright/Selenium and JavaScript/Python for test automation. Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML CSS and JavaScript is essential. Database Knowledge: Understanding database concepts and experience with SQL-based databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases. Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript TypeScript Python Java or C#. Version Control: Experience with version control systems particularly Git. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to learning and adapting. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate optimally in a team environment. Project Experience: Proven experience through coursework personal projects or previous internships. Contributions to open-source projects or a personal portfolio are a plus. Experience with Software Testing: Previous experience or coursework in Software development or testing projects. Familiarity with Agile Methodologies: Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies is advantageous. Interest in Emerging Technologies: Passion for learning about and working with new technologies and tools.
