Were looking for a committed and proactive Fisheries Enforcement Officer to join our team in the East Midlands. This is a unique opportunity for someone with experience in crime prevention investigations and casefile preparation who is passionate about safeguarding our diverse fisheries habitats and stocks.

What youll do

As part of an intelligenceled enforcement team you will help detect prevent and respond to fisheries offences. Youll play a key role in protecting the environment by:

- Conducting regular fisheries patrols across the region often alongside colleagues police and other enforcement partners

-Targeting disrupting and taking action against illegal fishing and associated crime

-Supporting neighbouring counties when required including weekend and evening work

-Maintaining high standards of professional conduct as a warranted officer under the Salmon & Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975 (SAFFA)

Youll respond to reported incidents of illegal fishing using your strong communication and influencing skills to engage with the public promote our work and manage potentially hostile situations confidently and professionally.
