Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong communication and customer a caring agile and reliable team you will bring integrity and teamwork to every shift while helping create a positive experience for guests and staff.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors customers and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and document relevant details according to site expectations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store surrounding property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances exits and high-traffic areas for security-related concerns assist with access-related issues and communicate observations to site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and/or visitor activity reporting suspicious behavior and following post orders related to retail operations and after-hours checks.
Minimum Requirements:
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state county or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
