JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager Utility Infrastructure Systems & Construction Integration provides engineering managementincluding standardization value engineering QA/QC and construction supervisionfor projects within their area of responsibility ensuring the reliability of mechanical electrical structural and aquatic systems associated with facility infrastructure. Provides strategic leadership in evaluating planning and coordinating longrange utility needs across all Universal Orlando destinations; manages integration of existing utility systems; and guides new infrastructure installations to ensure engineering designs align with established systems and longterm development objectives. Ensures communication between infrastructure and vertical facility teams achieves success. The role also oversees the completeness coordination and alignment of vendor engineering drawings with company standards while collaborating closely with Design Engineering Construction and Project Management teams to support code compliance and ensure future development is resilient scalable and underpinned by wellcoordinated utility systems.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform technical reviews of all capital project utility design to ensure conformity with enterprise infrastructure standards including central plant Delta-T performance requirements and distribution system capacity.
- Develop and maintain utility design criteria for mechanical electrical stormwater and wastewater systems for long term operational efficiency and resiliency.
- Validate central plant load calculations and distribution modeling to prevent degradation of system delta-T performance and standard capacity.
- Oversee electrical infrastructure conformance including feeder sizing redundancy strategy fault coordination arc flash compliance and long-range load growth planning.
- Evaluate and approve Value Engineering (VE) proposals impacting utility systems to ensure lifecycle cost optimization without compromising reliability safety or future expansion capability.
- Review stormwater management designs for regulatory compliance hydraulic capacity resiliency and integration with the master drainage system.
- Ensure wastewater infrastructure aligns with treatment capacity pump station redundancy the long-term park growth projections.
- Coordinate utility tie-ins to minimize operational disruption and protect environmental compliance standards.
- Serve as a primary utility systems authority between Development Engineering Operations Technical Services and Construction teams.
- Ensure seamless transition from design intent to construction execution through site inspections commissioning oversight and as-built verification.
- Identify infrastructure risks early in project development and implement mitigation strategies before construction development.
- Ensure compliance with local state and environmental regulatory requirements related to stormwater wastewater and utility systems.
- Protect enterprise infrastructure resiliency through standardized design review protocols and formal utility sign-off process.
- Lead utility coordination discussions on project review meetings for design milestones (30/60/90) to proactively resolve system conflicts and capacity constraints prior to becoming a field and schedule issue.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to confirm maintainability accessibility and asset lifecycle considerations are embedded in project designs.
- Maintain and update long-range utility master plans aligned with park demand strategies.
- Conduct capacity and redundancy risk assessments to support future attraction development and peak demand scenarios.
- Develop Delta-T performance electrical demand loading stormwater capacity utilization to inform executive decision-making.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Architecture or a related field preferred.
- ProjectManagementProfessional certification with assortedtradelevel licenses required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 7 years of experience in construction engineering coordination construction management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with municipal county and state regulatory authorities required.
- Theme Park largescale industrial or complex development experience strongly preferred.
