Job Summary

A high-achieving and Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Oxford is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to lead its SEND provision from April. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate SENCO to join a forward-thinking school with exceptional standards of teaching behaviour and pastoral care.

The successful SENCO will oversee all aspects of SEND provision ensuring that students with additional needs are fully supported to achieve their potential.

The Role

The school is looking for an organised and strategic SENCO who can lead SEND provision effectively while working closely with staff families and external agencies.

Key responsibilities of the SENCO include:

  • Leading and managing SEND provision across the school

  • Overseeing and reviewing EHCPs and support plans

  • Coordinating interventions and monitoring student progress

  • Supporting staff with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation

  • Liaising with parents carers and external professionals

  • Ensuring compliance with SEND legislation and school policies
