About the role
We are looking for an OSS & Network Analyst with proficiency in Transmission technologies and a strong interest in international projects within the Telecommunications industry.
As a part of your job you will:
Capture and understand the requirements needed to implement customers needs.
Clarify scope identify assumptions requirements and dependencies ensuring project alignment amongst all stakeholders.
Analyze challenge and refine both - functional and technical - requirements from key business and IT/Telco stakeholders.
Work closely with the Product Owner(s) and conduct workshops with business stakeholder(s) to clarify/refine requirements and solution details prioritize requirements according to their needs while identifying functional gaps solution assumptions and dependencies.
Perform functional and technical GAP analysis of solution to define solution functionality specific configurations business logic and integrations to satisfy requirements.
Produce Functional Design documentation covering user journeys integrations business rules data models and end-to-end flows ensuring requirements traceability.
Ensure alignment with architecture standards support development handover obtain approvals and refine documentation based on feedback.
Supporting Development and Test teams during their effort estimations low-level design development and testing activities.
Participate in Pre-sales activities by preparing responses and content for the functional part of RFP/RFI clients requests.
What are we looking for
Master/bachelors degree in engineering computer science or equivalent.
Experience producing technical/functional design documentation.
Good communication skills to conduct meetings and workshops with customers architecture and development teams.
Fluency in written and spoken English
Hands-on experience (3 years) with Transmission network configuration across major vendors (e.g. Cisco Ericsson Nokia Huawei ZTE) including associated OSS/NMS platforms.
Solid understanding of Transmission technologies including Microwave (MW) IP/MPLS and Optical networks (DWDM/OTN). Understanding of legacy technologies SDH TDM and PDH will be valued.
Experience with typical TX configuration activities such as: Link setup and commissioning Capacity upgrades and reconfigurations Network topology changes and re-routing Integration of new nodes and expansion of existing infrastructure Support for network transformations and modernization initiatives.
Understanding of operational procedures related to Transmission network support fault management and performance monitoring.
Knowledge of vendor data models and OSS integration principles.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with OSS tools and platforms related to Transmission domains (fault performance and inventory management).
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and scripting languages such as Python.
Exposure to network automation and orchestration tools.
Personal traits
Ability to adapt to different contexts teams and Clients;
Teamwork skills but also a sense of autonomy;
Motivation for international projects and ok if travel is included;
Willingness to collaborate with other players;
Strong communication skills.
