We are currently looking for exceptional Senior Consultants with strong experience in Data Platform solutions with a particular focus on Databricks to join our team and actively contribute to this mission locally and globally. The opportunity
In this AI & Data Engineer role you will work collaboratively with our stakeholders to enhance their ability to solve complex business problems by delivering solutions related to the deployment of Data Platforms such as Databricks (and Snowflake where relevant).
Your key responsibilities
- As a Senior Consultant you will be a vital part of the delivery team on any or all of those roles to support our GTM efforts as you develop solutions with Databricks and other Data Platform solutions.
- Support the development of new EY data solutions and methods that will improve effectiveness and reduce costs of current practices.
- Support RFP responses as well as thought leadership articles that we issue to the market.
- Experience in Data Platform Technologies with emphasis on:
- Deep understanding of Databricks architecture including Lakehouse concepts Delta Lake and data sharing capabilities.
- Ability to write SQL and/or Python queries for transforming joining and aggregating data.
- Experience with PySpark for distributed data processing.
- Ability to analyse datasets and generate insights using Databricks analytical tools and features.
- Practical knowledge of common data engineering and BI/data visualisation integrations such as dbt Azure Data Factory PowerBI.
- Familiarity with MLflow and Databricks-native functionality for deploying and interacting with Large Language Models.
- Ability to develop test and deploy machine learning models within Databricks.
- Work to ensure internal risk and admin processes are adhered to.
Skills and attributes for success
Were looking for people with a passion for delivering data technology solutions that create positive outcomes for customers regulators and shareholders. You should have advanced problem-solving skills relish working in high-performing teams and an ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both verbally and in writing.
To qualify for the role you must have some or all of the following:
- Demonstrable interest and awareness in data AI & emerging technologies.
- Good problem-solving teamwork and communication skills and an ability to communicate ideas effectively and clearly.
- Good knowledge in at least one of our core AI & Data capabilities:
- Data Architecture & Data Engineering.
- Data Management & Strategy.
- Understanding of technology trends and implications on the industry including data platforms digital drivers cloud architecture integration tools & approaches AI methods & techniques and the challenges faced in establishing effective delivery of value across the business.
- Hands-on coding experience with SQL Python or Scala (advantageous).
- Relevant experience in Databricks (knowledge of Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric would be beneficial).
- Previous consulting experience would be a plus but so would the curiosity and ambition to develop your career with a consulting role.
