As a Design System Designer at North youll play a key role in building evolving and maintaining scalable design systems. Youll work closely with designers product managers and developers to ensure consistency efficiency and high-quality user experiences. Were looking for someone who cares deeply about structure scalability and craft and who enjoys creating the foundations that enable teams to design better and faster.
As a Design System Designer at North you will
- Lead the creation documentation and evolution of design systems.
- Define and maintain UI components patterns and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of the design system.
- Audit and improve existing design systems identifying gaps and opportunities.
- Advocate for design system adoption and best practices.
- Create and maintain libraries in Figma ensuring they are structured usable and up to date.
- Balance system thinking with product needs enabling flexibility without compromising consistency.
Ideally youll bring
- 3 years of experience in digital product design with a strong focus on design systems.
- Proven experience creating or maintaining design systems in real-world products.
- Deep understanding of UI design components tokens and scalable systems.
- Strong proficiency in Figma (libraries variables auto layout etc.).
- Experience collaborating with developers and understanding of front-end constraints (HTML/CSS basics is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and obsession with consistency and quality.
- Clear communication skills (Spanish) and ability to document and explain system decisions.
- A structured systems-thinking mindset combined with a pragmatic approach.
