As a Manufacturing Senior Accountantat Idaho Forest Group you will be a key member of our finance team focusing onthe financialoperations and reportingspecifictoour manufacturing activities. Your role will involve overseeing the accounting processes related to inventory management cost accounting and production analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensureaccuratefinancial reportingprovidevaluable insights into manufacturing performance and contribute to the strategic decision-making process.The Manufacturing Senior Accountant will prepare monthly journal entries reconciliations and help prepareconsolidatedfinancial reports.
Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to the following:
- Preparedetailedmonthly journal entries for logs and lumber inventory adjustments adhering to close schedule and checklist.
- Preparemonth-endaccrual journal entries.
- Assistwith the preparation of monthly internal site profit and loss reporting comparing actual results to budget and forecast.
- Analyze budget/forecast to actual profit and loss variances providing detailed variance explanations.
- Generate monthly capital reporting comparing budget and actual cost by project.
- Assistwith developing incremental cash flow comparisons forexpansioncapital projects.
- Provide weekly production cost estimates comparing estimates to budgets/forecast.
- Participate in weekly and monthly operations cost review meetings.
- Quarterlyobservelumber and log cycle counts.
- Partner with Finance Managers and Senioraccountsto develop consistent manufacturingaccountingprocesses and procedures.
- Prepare government surveys and compliance reporting.
- Assistswith preparing annual budget and forecasts.
- Other duties as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- 2 years ofrelevant experience
- Skills:
- Able to deal professionally courteously and tactfully with the public and coworkers.
- Accurate and consistent attention to detail.
- Ability to pass ahair follicledrugtestpost-offer pre-employmentphysical and background check.
- CPA certification
- Valid drivers license
Ability to sit and/or stand for shift reach with hands and arms stoop squat bend at the waist kneel walk varying distance and climb stairs.
- Bend at waist occasional
- Twist upper body occasional
- Stoop occasional
- Lift above waist height occasional
- Lift over 50 lbs. - rare
- Repetitive use of hands constant for clerical duties
- Stand/walk occasional
