| Job Description: | The College of Health & Human Performance (HHP) announces a search for an Associate Dean of Research. This position provides stewardship over the research mission of the college through support of proposal submissions and identification of new research directions among other responsibilities. This position is a part-time 0.50 FTE 12-month position. Responsibilities in this position involve (a) working with Faculty the Dean Department Chairs and the Office of Research to facilitate research productivity; (b) ensuring adherence to extramural and university policy; (c) assisting at multiple levels in the pre-and post-award proposal process with oversight of the research administration staff; (d) serving as a source for brain-storming (i.e. present content and attend in-person and/or virtual meetings) with the Dean Associate Deans Department Chairs and faculty members to consider funding opportunities and challenges; (e) identifying new opportunities and leveraging faculty expertise to enhance the research mission; (h) representing the college at university meetings and convey important policy information to the college. | Preferred: | Preference will be given to candidates who are at the Senior Associate or Full Professor rank have an understanding of HHP/UF research policies and guidelines have experience with extramural funding agencies and who can articulate a vision for enhancing the research missions of the college. |
