What Youll Be Doing
- Develop implement and enforcecompany-wide safety programs and policies
- Ensure compliance withOSHA (29 CFR 1926) DOT (FMCSA) MSHA and EPA regulations
- Exercisestop-work authorityfor imminent safety hazards
- Developsite-specific safety plans (SSPs)andJob Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Lead hire train and mentorField Safety Representative(s)
- Provide safety guidance tosuperintendents foremen and field crews
- Conductjobsite audits inspections and compliance reviews
- Investigate incidents near misses injuries and vehicle accidents
- Performroot cause analysisand implement corrective actions
- ManageWorkers Compensation programs insurance claims and return-to-work initiatives
- OverseeOSHA 300 logs reporting requirements and regulatory notifications
- Represent the company duringregulatory inspections and client safety meetings
- Develop and overseesafety training programs and new hire orientations
- MonitorEMOD scores injury trends and safety performance metrics
- Conductenvironmental fleet and risk audits
- Coordinate safety initiatives withHR Operations Legal and Executive Leadership
- Approve safety equipment purchases and manage safety-related expenditures
What You Bring
- Minimum4 years of safety management experience in construction
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
- Expert knowledge ofOSHA construction standards
- Strong working knowledge ofDOT and EPA regulations(MSHA knowledge a plus)
- Experience withincident investigation and claims management
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence field teams and operations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience usingsafety management or incident tracking systems
