Position Overview
We are hiring a full-time Accounting Manager reporting directly to the CFO. This newly created position is perfect for a detail-oriented process-driven accounting professional who enjoys operational involvement thrives in a steady environment and wants to grow long-term with the company.
What You Will Do
- Lead monthly close and prepare accurate financial statements.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger including journal entries.
- Manage daily accounting operations: AP AR payroll/HR procurement and equipment tracking.
- Oversee job cost and WIP reporting analyze project budgets vs. actuals.
- Handle sales tax and compliance.
- Serve as ERP (Vista by Viewpoint) administrator support and train users.
- Coordinate annual financial review with external CPAs.
- Recommend and implement process improvements and internal controls.
Requirements
- 4 years of relevant accounting experience (construction industry experience a plus but training provided).
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of month-end close and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP software (Vista by Viewpoint preferred) and Excel.
- Detail-oriented organized process-driven.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse personalities (field staff office team external partners).
- Commitment to a long-term role.
