Project Location Omaha NE remote with very little travel
Duration- 6-12 months contract
Visa- USC/ GC/ GCEAD/ H4EAD/ H1B
Start 3/30 at the latest. Must be able to pass our standard background check.

Job Description-: Client is hiring an Application Runtime Security Engineer to address vulnerabilities within the application runtime stack across the application platform. This role focuses on Java application security runtime dependency upgrades and API exposure hardening. The engineer will work across Tomcat Java and modern web application components to remediate high risk runtime vulnerabilities and strengthen application stack security.
Technical Responsibilities
- Java application security remediation
- Log4j vulnerability remediation
- Tomcat runtime security configuration
- Application dependency upgrades
- API exposure review and hardening
- Node / React vulnerability remediation
- Secure configuration of application runtime environments
- Application security vulnerability mitigation
Required Experience
- 6 years application platform engineering experience
- Strong Java runtime experience
- Experience securing Tomcat and Java web applications
- Experience addressing Log4j and dependency vulnerabilities
- Experience securing APIs and application runtime environments
- Familiarity with modern web application security issues
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with large enterprise application stacks
- Experience in vulnerability remediation at scale
- Familiarity with CI/CD dependency scanning tools
- Experience with complex legacy platforms
