Our client an enterprise fintech startup focused on the insurance industry is seeking Backend Software Engineers (4 12 YOE) to join its growing team.

This is a high-impact role for a curious highly autonomous engineer who wants to own the design and implementation of end-to-end workflows in a complex high-stakes domain. Youll play a foundational role in building the product from the ground up tackling challenging backend and automation problems from day one.

What youll do:

Build end-to-end workflows for insurance agencies with a focus on automation and AI-driven solutions
Integrate with fragmented and often low-tech systems creating reliable and scalable infrastructure
Work directly with customers to gather feedback iterate quickly and translate technical concepts into clear solutions
Contribute to greenfield development building on top of an existing browser automation layer
Collaborate on system design and architecture to solve complex real-world problems

What theyre looking for:

4 12 years of backend engineering experience ideally in startup environments
Experience at early-stage companies (pre-Series D); founding engineer experience is a plus
Background working in complex or low-tech industries (insurance fintech healthcare) preferred
Proficiency with modern AI coding tools (e.g. Copilot Cursor)
Experience with browser automation or web scraping is a plus
Strong curiosity and willingness to engage directly with customers
