Role: Business Analyst (Pharma Commercial).
Location: Foster City CA (Onsite).
Duration: 12 Months.
Role Summary:
- The Business Analyst (Pharma Commercial) will work closely with commercial sales marketing and analytics teams to drive data-driven decision-making. The role focuses on gathering business requirements supporting commercial operations and delivering insights across pharmaceutical domains such as sales performance market access patient journey and brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders (Sales Marketing Market Access) to gather and document requirements.
- Analyze pharmaceutical commercial data such as sales prescriptions (Rx) claims and patient data.
- Support reporting and dashboard development using tools like Power BI Tableau or Excel.
- Work with datasets from sources like IQVIA Symphony Health or internal data warehouses.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Perform data validation UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure data quality.
- Provide actionable insights to improve brand performance and commercial effectiveness.
- Support forecasting territory alignment and incentive compensation processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering BI and Product teams.

- Strong experience as a Business Analyst in pharma commercial domain.

- Good understanding of pharma data: Sales Rx Patient Claims Formulary.

- Knowledge of IQVIA / Symphony / Veeva CRM data is highly preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Exposure to commercial analytics market access or patient analytics.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Veeva CRM Salesforce or similar tools.
- Experience with forecasting and incentive compensation systems.
