Job Summary
ND Global Consulting Services Inc. (NDGCS) is seeking a qualified and nbsp;Anesthesiologist and nbsp;to provide anesthesia coverage for and nbsp;Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and nbsp;sessions at and nbsp;Pilgrim Psychiatric Center and nbsp;(NYS Office of Mental Health) in Brentwood NY.
Location: and nbsp;Pilgrim Psychiatric Center 998 Crooked Hill Road Brentwood NY 11717
Schedule: and nbsp;Tuesdays and amp; Thursdays 8:00 AM 1:00 PM (approximately 10 hours per week)
Patient Volume: and nbsp;Average 24 patients per day
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and determine patient readiness for ECT
- Administer anesthesia for ECT procedures and monitor patients throughout treatment
- Manage airway and hemodynamic stability and respond to peri-procedural needs as required
- Ensure safe recovery and complete appropriate clinical hand-off
- Document anesthesia services in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with the ECT nursing staff and clinical team to maintain patient flow and schedule adherence
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Active unrestricted and nbsp;New York State medical license
- Active Board Certified or Board Eligible and nbsp;in Anesthesiology (ABMS/AOA)
- Current and nbsp;BLS and nbsp;and and nbsp;ACLS
- Recent anesthesia experience in a hospital or procedural setting
- Reliable availability for Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00 AM1:00 PM
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior ECT anesthesia experience (preferred not required)
- Behavioral health or psychiatric facility experience is a plus
Credentialing / Onboarding
Credentialing and facility onboarding are required prior to start (license/board verification background check and facility requirements).
