Job Summary

Unit Function:

To conduct Counter Proliferation and Arms Control Operations and activities in order to further UK security and defence policy objectives through the implementation of mandatory Conventional Arms Control (CONAC) and Confidence and security Building Measures (CSBM) Treaties and obligations.

Position Role:

SO2 Ops & Trg with Arms Control Inspector and Escort responsibilities

Responsibilities:

1. Planning and coordination of all Arms Control operations exercises and training activity - including the production and distribution of all supporting OSW.
2. Deployment as an Arms Control Inspector/Escort to Europe Central Asia and former Soviet Union States.
3. Liaise with MOD Joint and Single Service HQs FCDO and foreign national verification agencies on Arms Control operational and planning issues.
4. Assist in the production of UK Arms Control Data.
5. Undertake the duties of Ground Team Chief in their absence.
6. Monitoring of the Arms Control Communications Network (OSCE) including message distribution.
7. Production of post mission reports for both in and outbound Arms Control activities.
