Whats the role

As an Internal Investigation Analyst within Group Investigations (GI) youll provide critical intelligence and analytical support to investigations into serious misconduct whistleblower matters fraud and conduct risk across the Westpac Group.

Sitting within the Intelligence Team this is a handson role supporting investigators through initial case assessments link analysis evidence review and recovery activities. Youll help identify broader fraud and conduct themes escalate matters for investigation where required and support the efficient management of investigation files and intelligence.

Youll deliver outcomes safely by maintaining confidentiality and data integrity make an impact by strengthening investigative insight and recovery outcomes and own your work endtoend through disciplined analysis accurate recordkeeping and proactive stakeholder support.

This is apermanent fulltime Sydney basedrole with flexible working arrangements(3 days in office).

What do I need

  • Knowledge of the fraud writeoff and recovery process including use of the Spider system
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Strong organisation problemsolving and communication skills
  • Experience in a financial services fraud investigations or operational risk environment
  • Experience in an investigations or intelligence function (highly regarded) with exposure to analytical tools such as Power BI SQL SAS Python Tableau or similar (desirable)
