Job Title: RN Telemetry

Location: Saratoga Springs NY 12866

Duration: 22 Weeks Contract

Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM 7:30 PM)

Schedule: 3 Shifts per Week (36 Hours/Week)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med Surg Telemetry unit. This role involves providing direct patient care continuous cardiac monitoring and timely intervention for patients with cardiac and medical-surgical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a Med Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor interpret and respond to cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and manage patient treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatments
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records (Epic)
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies procedures and safety standards

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• At least 1 year of recent telemetry experience
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills (must pass required assessment)
• Experience with Epic charting systems
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with critical drips
• Experience managing CVA (stroke) patients

Unit Overview:

• Med Surg Telemetry unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:45
• Focus on cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical patient care
• Responsibilities include continuous telemetry monitoring and rapid response to patient condition changes
