Job Description
We are seeking anAccounts Payable Clerkto join our client in Dartmouth.
This contract role is perfect for a proactive accounting professional who can hit the ground running and provide hands-on support.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Code enter and process vendor invoices accurately and in accordance with internal controls
- Prepare and process payment runs
- Monitor and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
- Maintain journals ledgers and supporting financial documentation
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries
- Answer phone calls and provide general administrative support as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience in a similar accounts payable focused or versatile accounting role
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Professional communication skills and willingness to support a collaborative team environment
